Our Mission
We are on a mission to help fund our students' tuition with your help of contributing a donation!
We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves and tell you why our mission is so dear to our hearts. We are Ray & Shonda Heuermann with A-1 Welding Classes located in Willis, Texas. We have been offering 100% hands-on welding training, just straight welding since 2018. Our classes are not based around a curriculum, they are semi private classes with a 5:1 student teacher ratio.
Due to the fact we do not teach a curriculum, we are a private company and not accredited with our state, our students do not qualify for any financial assistance and have to pay out of pocket for our classes. We are passionate about helping our community to learn how to weld and offer them payment plans and pay as you go plans, but it can still become financially difficult for them to pay out of their own pocket. Our students love learning in an all hands-on training environment and we are trying our best to keep our classes this way for them.

All our donors will receive a receipt and get a shout out on our social media page for their contributions, unless they wish to remain anonymous. If our donor is from a business, we will support your company socially, if we don’t already, plus give your business a shout too. 100% of your donation goes to giving students the opportunity to start their career in the welding industry. We wish to raise enough money to cover the cost of tuition for students who wish to take our classes but don’t have the funds.
