Basic Welding is a 12-hour course that will consist of:
Instructor will start by going over proper wearing of welding hood and gear with student. Safety and proper way of operating welding machine. Student will learn to strike an arc, stick weld (SMAW) using 7018 1/8” welding rod on 1/4” plate in flat position and MIG weld (GMAW) using 0.30 diameter wire on 1/8” plate in flat position, clean welds with grinder and learn proper angles.
